Erin: FAIT Fellowship Makes Her Life’s Ambition a Reality

Erin successfully completed the Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship and is now an Information Management Specialist (IMS) in the Foreign Service. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Pace University. Her first post is the U.S. Consulate Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam.

In this video interview, Erin talks about how she was inspired to pursue the FAIT Fellowship because of her study abroad program in the Czech Republic and how much she is looking forward to starting her career as an Information Management Specialist.

“There was a diplomat from the U.S. Embassy in Prague that reached out to me. He gave me a tour of the embassy and I knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life, but I didn’t want to switch my major. So, I asked him if there are any opportunities for people studying IT. He said yes and he told me about the FAIT Fellowship program.”

“I’m looking forward to starting my career as an IMS,” says Erin. “This is something that has been two years in the making and I’m excited to be able to start.”
